final blog... writing a brief: My experience learning English at the university

Introduction:

In these days, the learning language belongs necessary for any person. Without importing the age or the area where it is unrolled.
The reality, every day shows us that an aspect to evaluate for any task, is the fact of speaking perfectly one or more languages, apart from your natal language.
Though there are great the languages that are spoken in the whole world, the English has turned in more important of nowadays.

At present there has grown the importance of other languages, as the Chinese mandarin, the English continues being the global language in the current world, specially for the great economic power that continues supporting The United States and other countries like England.

In relation to the psychology, know English becomes fundamental because all the knowledge and the new investigation and new technology comes from the U.S.
For this reason as good professionals we must be in constantly studying but the new papers will be published in English and that is the reason why we need to learn this language and also if we want to study in other country we must to learn English for the communication.

Body:

Well to begin, my experience in English in this university has been pleasant. I started English in level two, this course generally taught us how to interpret graphics in different areas, with relevant vocabulary, and we also did activities such as listening and writing.
This course was in the middle of last year.

In the first semester of this year I was in the level three with Professor Rose, and we started working on blogs, I liked this experience a lot, especially at this level, because the topics were very entertaining and the stories that went out of the course were very original. Also we exercised a lot with oral presentation for many different topics.

In this semester, at level 4, the activities were not very different, still working on the blog but this activity with a major difficulty.
In this level we practiced and have learned a lot is the pronunciation, because teacher teach to us many different kinds of pronunciation depending on context and the place where we meet.

Well in summary, I think my experience of the English course at this university has been pleasant, I have learned and practiced my English so much.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, I find it very important that this university will force you to take courses in English as this is the universal language and it is necessary to handle even at a most basic level, however there are other universities that do not care about the language and I think that is something very important.
This allows a future we can go to study abroad and we can develop ourselves with the language anywhere in the world. It also allows us to study the new forms, and streaming technology, ascertain that come from more countries develop life and that their publications are in English.
I find very good and very important that the university implements these courses and as a personal experience I think I've learned at least to perform better in English.
the bad is that I'm a bit complicated is the issue of academic load and schedules, as there are days that it becomes very bode attend classes or sometimes we have so much to do that we can not attend all classes.

The activities I enjoy the most when I have some free time are: going out with my friends, watching movie and painting in oil.

I like going out with my friends when I have free time because I don’t see them very often for this reason. My close friends are: Micaela, Loreto and Valeria. They are studying different careers and it is so difficult going out very often. But when I am with these girls I am very happy.

When we go out we go dancing or somewhere else where we can talk or eat something. In general, we see once a month, but since two months ago I haven’t seen my “amores” and I miss them very much.

Another activity that I enjoy is painting. Since I was a little girl I’ve painted, but when I was in the secondary I started painted in oil. Honestly, since I left the school I have not painted in oil, but I miss this activity very much.

When I was painting, I felt very well because is one of the activity that relaxes me more. In the school, I painted very often like eight hours a week, because I was in the humanistic area and this was my elective course.
In general I painted landscapes or magical creatures like fairs.

Another thing that I enjoy doing is watching all kind of movies, when I have a little time always I am watching romantics or funnies movies.
For example I love goint to the cinema, the last time that I went was twoo weeks later, and I went with a friend and we saw a romantic movie.
Tonight I am going to the cinema again, and I will see the "cruda verdad". I hope have a good time!

Improving our faculty!

Hello everyone!
Today I will talk about the situation in our faculty. Well everybody know what is the situation in the faculty, and I think this faculty in comparison whit other have many faults, for example we need more technology for our career, we don’t have any technology for the neuroscience area like electroencephalogram. We don’t have any special laboratory for every investigation area. I think that this is very awful because we need investigation for our studies and if we haven’t implement technology we will be in the pass.
The investigation in psychology is very important and we needs promote this area for our knowledge.
Other thing that I think is very important is the implementation of the “study rooms” where we can talk and study, because the only one that we have is the “casino” the same place where we eat.
Also I think that our classrooms are very small, we are so tight in class and this is not so nice. When we have a test and we can order our chairs, many of us didn’t fit.
I think that this problem can be resolved planning projects who the students and the teacher can give their opinion and ideas. Also the university need get money for other sides like the state or study organization or research organization.
The real benefits of this improvement will be the students, the teacher and the researches and also the other benefits are the science.

Hi everyone!! Today I will talk about the meaning of music in my life.
Since I was a little girl music has been a very important in my life and makes me remember very beautiful moments in different stage of my life.
I remember when I was 4 years old I was with my mom or my cousins and we spent a whole afternoon listening to music, but not any type of music, we were dancing and singing child music like mazapan and cachureos! I loved that, I had many funny and beautiful regards every time that I hear that music.
When I got older I was dancing and singing with my friends the popular music in those days, many different groups like spice girls, back street boys, fulanito and “el simbolo”
Years later, the music of the moment was the famous “AXE”, everybody dancing this entertaining rate.
Well now I listening many different king of music but my favorite is the romantic music, yes I know, I am MAMONA! Ajajjaja my favorite singers are Diego Torres, Alejandro Sanz, Juan Luis Guerra, Laura Pausini and Franco de vita.
The music is important for me because makes me remember very different moments, makes feels different emotions and change my mood.
I don’t know how many hours a day I listen my favorite music but when I am in the micro, when I get home or when I have to work I listen my favorite music because relax me and gives me a greater mood.

my favorite dish

Today I`m talk about my favorite food:” pastel de choclo”
I like this food because is one of a typical dish of my country. The special flavor for this dish that I like is the flavor of the corn mixture with the sugar. This food makes me remember when I traveled whit my family to “Pomaire” some wikeekens. I loved this rides because we enjoyed very much all the crafts and the landscape.
I have never cooked this dish for my friend, actually I don’t cook!
Well I suggest eat this dish in a very good place, like a restaurant in pomaire or some restaurant for Chilean food. And also I suggest preparing this dish on September, for the anniversary of Chile.

It so common eat this dish for the “ fiestas patrias” with a good wine or some glass of “chicha”, also many people accompany this food with a good and typical “pebre”.

what to do and where to go in santiago

Well, I thing that Santiago is a very beautiful city and if you visit this city you must to go to San Cristobal hill, la Moneda ( government palace) and museum of fines arts.
If you never have been in Santiago, you must to know the government palace: la moneda, because is a very beautiful place and is a place with many history of chile. Also if you want to lunch a tipical Chilean food, you must to go to central market, in this place you can enjoy a magnificent seadfood platter like “paila marina” or fried fish.
If you like the art, you must to visit the museum of fines arts, because you can enjoy many work of Chilean artist, and also work of foreign artist. Also if you like the famous poet: Pablo Neruda, you must to visit Pablo Neruda’s house, in bellavista. Near for this place is the metropolitan zoo, if you like the different king of animals.
In the night you can visit the neighborhood Bellavista, because in this place you can go to drink or to dance.
Other place that you can go is the “plaza de armas”, in the center of Santiago, is a place full of culture and history, in this place you can go to the “ cathedral of Santiago” , is a very beautiful building .

THE LAST FILM THAT I SAW =)

Well today I`m going to talk about the last film that I saw: Harry Potter and the half blood prince.
This move is a fantasy-adventure film inspired in a young boy named Harry Potter, he is sixteen years old and he is in the 6ª grade in the famous wizard school: Hogwats.
In this film Lord Voldemort (the most evil sorcerer in all wizard world) take an important role, because he wants to conquer the human world and the wizard world.
To accomplish this mission Lord Voldemort needs the help for the malicious student and enemy of Harry Potter: Draco Malfoy, he is responsible for killing Dumbledore (the headmaster of the wizarding school Hogwart).

Other character very important in this movie is Severus Snape who making an unbreakable vow whit Draco’s mother to protect Draco and carry out the assignment if he fail. If Snape break the deal, he will die.

In the development of the film, another character likes Ron, Hermione, Harry and Ginny are involved in problem of love. Also something very strange happen, Harry find a potion book which contained all the ways to make all spells, this book this book belonged to the “Half-Blood Prince”. With this book harry can learn a lot of things, more thing that his classmates.

Also we can see that Dumbledore trains Harry to confront Lord Voldemort in a future not too distant.

At the end of the film, something unexpected happens, Dumbledore is surrounded by Voldemort, Snape and Draco. Draco must to kill him but he didn’t dare, so Snape kills Dumbledore.
All this scene was see for Harry potter, who is in shock.
The last scene, we can see that the half blood prince was Severus Snape, and he escapes whit Draco and the other evil sorcerers.

The principal character was: Harry Potter, Dumbledore, Hermione, Ron Weasly, Ginny Weasly, Draco Malfoy, Severus Snape, Voldemort.

I went to the cinema with my mom and my brother in winter holiday.

I recommend this film for everyone to like the fantastic movies, because all the film is about the magic.
Well to end this commentary, I like the romantic side of the character, because in the others film didn’t show that, but I expected a much better film.

TRANSANTIAGO: BEFORE AND AFTER

Hello everyone, today I`m going to talk about Transantiago.
Well I think the new system has many things good such as the new buses are bigger than the old system and it is less harmful for environment. The students in this system are not discriminated and since the new system started the delinquency decreased because implemented a new way to pay, the “BIP CARD”.
People with disability have more chance to use this system because the new buses have specific structures for example to wheelchair, and I think that this is very important and the old system hasn’t had these structures.
Well, Transantiago started in February 2007 and was a complete disaster because the people had not idea what bus had to take, the system collapsed and all the people was angry and was very uncomfortable travel in transantiago.
Now, three years later, the system is better than the beginning, they are more buses and the people accepted this system.
Well, I would change the time of frequency to the buses and I would change the fare because it is more expensive. Other thing that I would change is the whereabouts because are in poor condition, all of them are broken and is very unpleasant wait buses in these conditions.

I would like to go to Italy, because this country is very beautiful and I would like to know the culture of this country.

In Italy was created on of the most important civilizations of the world: the Roman Empire. In this country I can know all the wonderful things of the Roman Empire such as Roman Coliseum. Also I would like to know many cities of this country for example Verona, because in this city is inspired “Rome and Juliet”.

I thing that Italy is very romantic and magic place, I would like to visit it for vacation and I would like to learn all the culture of Roman Empire and also can visit the wonderful cities such as Venice, Florence and Roma.

I would like to live or study there someday because I would like to learn Italian and can visit the others countries of Europe such as France, Spain, Germany and Greece.

I would like to go with my best friend or with someone very special, because I thing in this country anything can happen…for example you can meet someone special like a very interesting Italian and enjoy all the wonderful places for example you can sail in a “Gondola” one beautiful night …… Really I would like to go to Italy…

Good and Bad points.

Well, in this opportunity I will talk about my experiences during the first term of 2009.
In the first term I studied many different subjects such as psychopathology, social psychology, developmental psychology, for example.

I learned many different things such as all the mental pathology in psychopathology, the human behavior in the society in social psychology, and the evolution of man across the time in developmental psychology.

In the last semester I did many different activities, for example, I practiced dance( it was my favorite activity in the university, it was so fun and many girls of my course were there), I was going out with my friends, and also I had to study and read so much.

In this semester I had many challenges to face, such as study for pass all the courses and also I had to help to many people with problems, especially my friends.

The relation with my family in this semester was fine, my favorite grandmother was sick but she is very good now, the relation with my friends were good because they are a special and important support in my life
.
In general the last semester was very fine and I hope that this semester will be better!

This experience was very funny and interesting!! because I learnt so much whit this experience, I lerant many different words and how you can write in the right way!
Also I thing with this experience increase my imagination and of course help to improve my english!
The advantage for this activity is that you can improve you english because every class you can write many thing for different topics and increase your vocabulary and also every class you write most stuff in less time in comparation with the beginning.

My ideal Job

Well, today I`m going to talk about my ideal job. My ideal job will be in a psychology clinic. In this area I would like to work with children, this will be my ideal job.

I think that when you work in psychology specially with children you need qualities and skills, you must be charismatic, nice, friendly and the most important you must understand and listen to the person, in this case to the child to earn his or her confidence.

I think that I would be good at this job, because I love children and I have a very good relation with them. In the childhood the personality and all relation with the world are developed, and for this it is very important the well-being of the children.

To find this kind of job is not difficult, because there are many different areas, for example you can work in a school, in a kinder garden, in a personal clinic, or in a public hospital.
Well If I work in this area , I will love to work in social area such as teleton.

My Favorite subject

My favorite subject this semester is social psychology. Pablo Valdivieso is the teacher for this subject and he is so cute!! He makes the class very interesting and entertaining! He is so intelligent and he loves his subject.
I like this subject because this area of psychology studies the relation and behaviour between human and society and includes many and different approaches for these studies.
In this subject I learn all the diferent behaviours in human in relation with the society, and how this behaviour changes with other person. I learn many things like: groups, social influence, the importance of leaders, how all of this things work and the importance that they have for the life and for the behavior of every person.

well today I'm going to talk about a video. This video talks about creativity and the education, how the creativity is very important for the life for every child.
This man said that in the school and in the society in general reinforcing children's capacities in the tipical areas( math, language) and the artistic areas ( music, dance, art) because the artistic area increases the creativity in the children.
Ken Robinson said that the education is a industry for create children trained for this world and the demands for the society and the family.In this world the children that have potential artistic are not reinforcing and they whit the age are losing this talent. The artistic area for the society and the family is not a job is like a hobby.
Robinson said that the school must to maximize the creativity and also must teach children to learn from the error.
Personally, I`m agree whit him because the human intelligence are is made whit many areas and one of them is the artistic area. I love this area and i think in the school is not important.
I think tha for change this we must change the social thought and reinforcing all areas artistic and them we will see a great change in the children, society and in the world

Today I'm going to talk about my future. In five years from now, I will be a psychologist . I hope that I will be working in my area. In my personal life I would like travel around the world and know many amazing places like Italy, greece, egyptian, brazil with my best friend or with my lover.

I will be living in santiago I think, but I would love can live in a city neer the sea like viña or Iquique and I will be living alone or whit my husband, because is my favority place and I will be very happy.

My ideal future will be work in my career, can travel a lot and enjoy the life because I will be 24 years old.
In the personal life I will like meet a wonderful men and falling in love and live happily ever, get married whit him and have many children in a future when I will be 26 years old or more.

Well today I'm gonna talk about Abraham Maslow, because is the founder of the humanistic psychology and this discipline is my favorite. Abraham Maslow was an american psychologist and was very intersested in study new phenomenas like self, self actualization, love, motivation, and personal human experience that behaviorism and psychoanalisis didn't study because this disciplines considerer that this phenomas were very subjetives. I like him because he studied an holistic area of human and changed the vision of the old psychology where the human was determined for the environment(behaviorism) or for his uncoscious(psychoanalisis).

The principal theory of Abraham Maslow is the "hierarchy of need and motivations". This hierarchy has five levels of basic needs, in the first level is all phisiological needs, like water and food. In the second level is safety need , like de need to feels security or stability. In the third level is belonging-love needs. In the next level is self- esteem needs, and in the last level is the self- actualization. When you overcoming all this level you must feels complete and happy.

well, today I will talk about my carreer : psichology.

I chose this carreer because I always was helping people to resolve problems and i was atracted about the human main and how to change human behavior, and this carreer was perfect.

The good side of study psichology is all the beutiful and amazing things that you learn of human main. You always can learn something new for the people. Other thing that i love is all the areas that you can works to help people in this carreer, for example, you can work in differents areas like social, clinic, educational.
When you study psichology you have other vision of life and you can understand the people.

The bad side of this carreer is all the time that you have to read and study. It's too much. Sometimes you don't have time to go out whit yours friends because you must read and read.
(and read Freud in the night is not very nice ajjaajjaja).

I expect about the future in my carreer is maybe works in clinic area because I will like to help people in this way.
My dreams is work whit children and help them, for example always i will love works in the Teleton whit all this children and familys because they need medical help and the psichologyc help is very importan in the recovers and them can impove their quality of life.

The picture was taked in my birthday when my friends gave me a great surprise and made me a wonderful card!! I will never forget that!
This people are very important in my life, all them are very beautiful persons. I'm so happy to met them! I have great moment whith them.
Everyone is very original and special. Paloma is very nice and good person, she always has a smile in her face. Ingrid is so cool! she is like my older sister because she always care of me.
Vale is my partner, we are crazy, we always laugh for everything. Cecy is so nice and is so happy. Jaime is so beautiful person and he always worried for others. Tamy is so intelligent and so sweet. Edu is so cool and funny!.
This people are very important for me and they make me happy everyday. I LOVE THEM!! =)

My Most Precious Possession.

My most precious possesion is my dog CODDY! It is a black puddle and has one years old!!

Always I wanted have a dog, but my mom never wanted because we live an apartment. When I tell her that I didnt care, she felt very bad and she gave me this surprise!

I love so much !! he is very playful! plays every day whit the ball!! he is so cute! my "negro" always stay with me, we slept together, he makes me happy!

When we travel to everywhere, he travel with us! He likes very much go out whit his family! he didnt like stay in home!
He makes me very happy , he is my most possession!

In my last vacation I went to reñaca with my friends in the last week of january.

We went to this place because it was one of my friends' birthday and we had to celebrate!!! and this beach is the place to CARRETE ON FIRE!

In this six days we had a great great time!!! In the morning we slept and ate something, then in the afternoon we went to the beach!! In the night we went out to diferents discos like: cesar, kmassu, living, ocio... one of this night we met three person very friendly, they was argentinian!!

Since this day we went out every day together.... yes, my vacation was on fire!!!( I cant tell you everethyng ajajja).

This was something remarcable because we are very good friends yet!! we talk every day and maybe the next summer we will see again!!

I would never forget all the moments whit my "HUMANISTICAS"( my friends) because we had greats aventures from this travel!! and I would never forget my new friends or something summer love!! ajaja

My best friend

My best friend is Micaela Blanco. I met her in 2003 when she arrived at school where I was studing. She comes from Cordoba, Argentina and she moved to Chile with her family. In this circunstances I met her and from than moment we were inseparable.

With my "viejo"( that is the way I call her) i have many dear memories but the dearest was in my birthday in 2005 when she gave me a surprise and she made me breaksfast!! she is so cute!!!

well, my "viejo" is the best!! i love her so much!! she is funny and very good person! i have great moment with her! she is the person who knows me the best, together we both smile, cry and laugh.
I don't know what are the things i dislike about her, i think that .... NOTHING!! jajaaja

Together had pasted throught many interesting and funny aventures, but the greatest was in the summer when we traveled to reñaca!! we met many new friends (argentinian people) and we went to discos every night!! it was so great!! I can't tell you what we did in this places jajaja is a secret!!!

The only thing that I envy is her car!!! the "cachondamovil" (that is the way I call her car) is the best car in the world!!

If i could give her something, i give her only happiness because she deserves!!! and a boyfriend!! ajja is a joke!!

Hi everyone!!!

My name es Ivonne Salas Cristi. I was born on April, 15 in 1990. I come from Santigo of Chile.
I study psychology in "Universidad de Chile".

When I was four years old, I move to Iquique. I lived in this beatiful city for six years, it`s a wonderful place to live. If you like beautiful beaches, and you like the history, you must to visit Iquique!! If you visit this place you must know places like: humberston, salitrera santa lucia, salitrera santa ana, playa cavancha, Zofri, Mamiña, Tarapaca( if you visit it in july you will know "la fiesta de Tarapaca") and many places very beatiful and interesting.
I have many beautiful regards of this place, and I recommend visit the capital of the first region.

When I was ten years old, I come back to Santiago and I find my best friend and my true love, and i will get merried the last month!!! EVERYONE IS INVITED jaajaj just kidding.
I like live in santiago, i have many friends that I love, and all my family live here, but something I miss Iquique.
